It had been over 20 years since we had last visited Bali so it was interesting to see some of the areas that had developed and changed over the years. Our accommodation was in Nusa Dua in a resort called Merusaka. It was a beautiful resort located on the beach front. Our room was perfect, having access to a pool from the decking area. The main pool was lovely and the restaurants served a wide range for food. The breakfast was buffet style with many stations offering choices to suit everyone. It was also lovely being able to walk to the shopping street, Jalan Pantai Mengiat, which has a range of shops and restaurants on both sides which offer great deals.

We also had the opportunity to visit some of the sights of Bali, including Uluwatu Temple, coffee plantations, the official Bali Swing and Mt Batur Volcano. All these places are day trips from Nusa Dua and the traffic on some occasions was slow and tedious but the final destinations were worth it.
