England (May 2025)

It feels as if I have been in the UK quite a lot recently but it is great to have the opportunity to go and visit my parents as much as possible.

One of the highlights of the journey to where they live, Darlington, is the train trip from Kings Cross as train travel has to be the best method of travel that there is and this train and route is particularly nice and is just over 2 hours.  Mum and Dad were waiting for me at the station which was lovely too.

I spent 3 weeks with my parents so we managed to get out and about quite a lot to some lovely English villages and castles.  The countryside around Darlington is lovely too so I made the most of it be going for quite a few walks in preparation for our French Camino.
